Together, they tackled two properties on Harelaw Crescent and Bargarron Drive, both in a state of disrepair and unfit for living. With a vision to revitalize these homes and support local communities, they embarked on a mission to create sleek, modern, and desirable living spaces.
The before pictures reveal a stark contrast to the impressive transformations that followed. Both properties were overflowing with rubbish and in dire need of a full renovation. However, with the support of the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership, Williams and Smart were able to see the bigger picture and make a significant impact.
In an interview with Glasgow Live, Williams emphasized the broader goal beyond financial gain. He stated, 'We can see the bigger picture; this is more than just making money. Our goal is to bring homes back into the local communities, and with the current housing crisis in Scotland, it's more important than ever.'
The transformation process began with a thorough stripping of the homes back to brick. Removal crews were brought in to tackle the excess waste, providing a much-needed clear vision for the renovation. Within just six months, both homes were completely revitalized and ready to be put back on the market.
Williams expressed his passion for the project, saying, 'I'll see a property like that and always think of what it can be after all this work. It's such a rewarding job, tough as it may be, but there's so much positivity that comes from it.'
